Picture-frame panelling round a living room
The same living room as the TV unit and bookcase. The walls were plain, and the room has a deep cornice and an old fireplace that deserved more than flat paint. Pine moulding went on as tall frames above a dado rail and shorter frames below it, spaced so they line up across each wall, round the door and over the radiator. Left ready for the decorator.

Two profiles
A wider moulding for the dado rail and a slimmer one for the frames, chosen first thing that morning.

Frames round the door
Each frame is mitred at the corners and fixed to the wall. The frames by the door are sized so the gap to the architrave matches the gaps between panels.
