A kitchen in Crouch End, panelled in V-groove MDF above the worktops and at dado height round the dining side. The cooker hood is boxed in to match, and a tall panelled unit stands at the end of the run, so the whole room hangs together.

How it went together

Battens up
Battens fixed to the wall to take the panels.

Round the pipes
The pipes beside the boiler measured up, so the panelling boxes them in neatly.

Panels on
V-groove panels go up behind the worktop.

Dado on the dining side
Panelling at dado height round the dining side, finished with skirting.

Hood frame
A frame built round the extractor.

Hood boxed in
The hood boxed in to match the panelling.

Wall cupboard
A wall cupboard made up by the window, panelled down the side to match.

The tall unit and its panelled door made up.
