Sliding doors over a hot water cylinder
A loft room where the hot water cylinder and its pipes sat in the open under the eaves. I built a frame along the low wall, following the slope of the ceiling, and hung two sliding doors in it. The doors slide past each other, so either end can be opened to get at the cylinder, and nothing swings out into the room.

How it went together

01
The cylinder in the open
The cylinder, its pipes and the expansion vessel, all on show under the slope.

02
Frame to a laser line
The frame goes up to a laser line, because the floor and the slope are never quite straight in a loft.

03
Frame round the slope
The top of the frame follows the ceiling, and the bottom track sits flat on the floor ready for the doors.
